Professional background

I am a successful entrepreneur, founder and co-founder of multiple companies in various sectors across the South African landscape.

Originally from the Kwa-Zulu Natal midlands, I gained his education in Durban and started my professional career in Johannesburg in 1998. Having spent 8 years at Vodacom during the exponential growth of the mobile industry, I moved on to spend the next 7 years in the broadband space.

In 2013, I co-founded a non-profit organisation as COO and ultimately took the helm as CEO in 2016 driving Africa's largest public WiFi service at the time. During this period, I also co-founded and/or funded several other ventures including Ever Africa, Namola, Avo Choc, Inqaku and Herotel. In 2014, I held the COO role at Herotel during its establishment and early stages which paved the way for it to emerge as the largest rural broadband operator in South Africa. I then went on to start up several other ventures including Yebotel, Simply Wireless: Stilbaai and TNS.

After a number of successful exits, the latest being Herotel in 2022 and Ever Africa in 2023, my attention is now firmly fixed on expanding my business portfolio through new investments into start-ups and established businesses where my knowledge and experience coupled with an extensive network of business partners and specialists will add significant value.

My best advise to all the entrepreneurs out there: "You can do it alone but, its always easier when you have help!"
